A brush fire has burned more than 50 acres of brush northeast of Santa Maria Tuesday, but no homes are reported to be threatened in the isolated area.

There’s a brush fire burning on the Central Coast.

What’s being called the Bull Fire is burning in the hills northeast of Santa Maria.

The 50 acre plus blaze is north of Highway 166 in the Bull Canyon area. It was discovered at around 3 p.m. Tuesday. There are no homes in the area.
