Student stabbed on Ventura County high school campus

Injuries described as non-life-threatening; Deputies have another student in custody in connection with the incident.

There’s been a stabbing at a South Coast school campus.

A statement released by the Fillmore Unified School District says it happened Monday afternoon, at Fillmore High School. District officials say two students got into a fight, and one stabbed the other. They describe it as a non-life-threatening injury.

They say the student believed to be responsible for the incident was taken into custody by Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies.

The district issued a message to parents detailing the incident, but assuring them that students are safe. School was dismissed at normal time Monday.
