Investigators are trying to figure out exactly what led to the stabbing death of a 73-year-old man on the South Coast. His son has been arrested for the attack.
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 4700 block of Park Lane in Moorpark just before 6 p.m. Wednesday by reports of a family disturbance. They found a man with a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. His name hasn’t been released yet.
Detectives say their investigation of the death led them to the victim’s 23-year-old son. Jason Fernandes of Ventura was spotted near the scene, and arrested.
He’s being held in the Ventura County Jail in lieu of $3 million in bail.
