A Ventura County man has been arrested for some church burglaries.

Since the first of the year, two Conejo Valley churches have been burglarized. Children’s bounce houses were stolen from both churches, as well as a variety of other items.

Earlier this week, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle in Thousand Oaks. The man was wanted for a warrant.

Detectives say they then linked Chad Esseff to the church burglaries. They got search warrants for a Thousand Oaks home, and say they found the bounce houses, and other stolen items connecting the 26-year-old man to the church burglaries.

Investigators say they also discovered items taken from two other previously undocumented burglaries in the county.

The Thousand Oaks man was arrested on five counts of burglary.
