A serial robber who targeted Trader Joe’s stores in Southern California has received a more than two decade long state prison sentence.

Among the 21 stores Gregory Johnson tried to rob was one in Ventura County. The robberies, and robbery attempts also included Trader Joe’s in Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties.

Prosecutors say Johnson apparently thought the popular stores were easy targets. In the year 2000, he received a 12 year prison sentence after being convicted of robbing a Trader Joe’s. This time, he was sentenced to 21 years behind bars.
