Two teens have been arrested on arson charges following what investigators say was an intentionally set blaze in Moorpark.

Investigators consider them suspects in a string of other intentionally set blazes in the Moorpark area.

Investigators arrested two teens for an arson fire in Ventura County, and are looking into the possibility the duo might be responsible for a string of other blazes.

Ventura County firefighters were called to the scene of a fire in some brush off of Moorpark Avenue in Moorpark on November 24. They stopped the blaze before it could spread. But, Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department arson investigators determined the blaze was intentionally set.

They used photos taken at the scene by witnesses to identify the two teenagers as suspects. The 15 and 16-year-old Moorpark teens were arrested for possession of a destructive device, and arson charges.

Investigators say they are also trying to determine if the teens were involved with a series of other small arson fires in the Moorpark area dating back to September. Fortunately, none of those fires caused major damage.
