An investigation prompted by videos which detectives say show a San Marcos High School student being repeatedly attacked by classmates has led to seven arrests.

Detectives say teens repeatedly targeted a classmate.

Detectives arrested seven South Coast high school students after a series of videos surfaced showing a series of attacks on a classmate.

San Marcos High School administrators learned about the videos this week, and notified the school resource deputy.

They say an investigation showed the victim had suffered serious injuries. Details of the attacks, and the extent of the student’s injuries haven’t been released yet.

Detectives say the assaults occurred on the San Marcos campus. The seven teens are facing charges ranging from conspiracy to assault.
