Storm system headed towards Central, South Coasts

Storm system could bring light rain north of Point Conception, sprinkles south of it.

Rainfall expected to be minimal from this system.

A storm system could bring rain to parts of the Central and South Coast, but no problems are expected in Santa Barbara County’s Alisal Brush Fire burn area.

The storm could bring up to a half inch of rain to parts of San Luis Obispo County Monday night and Tuesday. Northern Santa Barbara County could see around a tenth of an inch of rain.

However, only light showers are expected south of Point Conception. The main impacts on the South Coast is expected to be mostly cloudy skies Tuesday.

The rainfall amounts are expected to be well below the levels triggering issues for the Alisal brush fire burn zone.
