No signs of foul play, but autopsy pending.

Someone made a disturbing find at a South Coast park. A visitor to Santa Barbara’s Shoreline Park Thursday morning spotted a body in the ocean at the base of the park’s cliffs.

Because it was high tide, first responders had a hard time reaching the scene. Santa Barbara Fire Department rescue swimmers were able to reach, and recover the body, and move it to a beach.

Santa Barbara Police officials say the person appeared to have been dead for several hours.

They say there were no obvious signs of foul play, but an autopsy is pending. There’s no word on the sex, or identity of the person.
