A wind whipped fire in January of 2021 threatened homes in some Ventura County neighborhoods.

Strong winds whipped flames through a canyon between Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, threatening some neighborhoods. This is a brief sampling of live coverage of the first 90 minutes of the January, 2021 blaze.

The fire burned 250 acres of brush, and threatened some neighborhoods between Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Despite the big scare, firefighters contained the 250 acre fire before it could reach homes.
