SUV hits car traveling same direction from behind.

CHP officers say they arrested a Santa Barbara County man on murder and DUI charges after the SUV he was driving rammed a car, killing two people.

The collision happened at around 7:30 last night, on Cathedral Oaks Road north of Goleta. Officers say Andrew Raymond Burgher was driving a SUV eastbound on Cathedral Oaks when he rammed the rear end of an eastbound car.

The car spun out of control, and hit two parked cars. A man and a woman in the car were both pronounced dead at the scene. Their names haven’t been released yet.

Burgher was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The 31-year-old Santa Barbara man was then arrested.
