Search On For Hit And Run Driver Who Fatally Injured Teen On South Coast

Oxnard Police are looking for a hit and run driver who left the scene of a collision which fatally injured a teenage bicyclist.

Investigators say surveillance video shows red compact sedan was involved in collision in Oxnard.

The search is on for a driver who stuck, and fatally injured a teenage bicyclist on the South Coast.

The collision happened at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, on Hemlock Street near N. Street in Oxnard. Police officers and paramedics arriving on the scene found a seriously injured 16-year-old boy. The Port Hueneme teen died a short time later at a hospital.

Oxnard Police investigators say the driver of the car fled the scene. They were able to find some surveillance video from the area, and determined that the car involved was a red compact sedan.

They are hoping someone may have noticed something which will help the them identify the driver.
