Santa Barbara County has a local rental assistance program, while Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties are offering state aid.

A statewide eviction moratorium ends on Friday, but there is still some help available for renters.

In Santa Barbara County, there is a county emergency rental assistance program in place which is still accepting applications. It’s open to people who have an annual income that’s 80 percent or less of the area’s median income. To be eligible, you must have also suffered a loss of income due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The United Way of Santa Barbara County is administering the program.

Meanwhile, a state rental assistance program is still open to Ventura and San Luis Obispo County residents.
