CHP officers say the body of a woman found off of Highway 33 in the Ventura area Friday is that of a murder victim.

Authorities confirm it is a murder case.

Authorities have identified a murder victim whose body was found off of a South Coast highway.

Someone spotted the body of a woman Friday morning in some vegetation off of Highway 33's southbound Main Street offramp in Ventura.

Kelsey Ann Dillon was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP investigators aren't releasing details about the death, but confirm the 30-year-old woman was a homicide victim.

They are hoping someone might remember seeing suspicious activity in the area which could provide evidence in the case.
