Ventura County prosecutors say there is no evidence to warrant criminal charges against pop star Britney Spears for an incident with a housekeeper in her home.

The pop star was subject of an investigation following an incident at her Ventura County home.

Pop star Britney Spears won’t face criminal charges for an incident involving a housekeeper at her Ventura County home.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the singer’s home August 16. Investigators say a housekeeper told them that she had gotten into an argument with Spears about the veterinary care of the pop star’s dog.

They say the housekeeper claimed Spears slapped a phone out of her hand. The phone was apparently slightly damaged, but no one was injured.

Prosecutors say with no one hurt, and only minor damage to the phone, there wasn’t evidence to warrant criminal charges. Spears has been involved in a high profile battle with her father over her conservatorship.
