COVID-19 Case Surge Continues On Central, South Coasts

Ventura County reported more than 500 new COVID-19 cases from Friday through Monday.

More than 800 new cases were reported over three day period.

The latest COVID-19 case numbers show the current surge continuing on parts of the Central and South Coasts. Ventura County reported 537 new cases from Friday through Monday, as well as two additional deaths.

The biggest issue continues to remain the unvaccinated.

Less than 1% of the 478,000 people in the county who are fully vaccinated in the county have tested positive for the coronavirus since getting shots.

In Santa Barbara County, 321 new cases were reported from Friday through Monday. The county reports that more than two-thirds of its eligible residents are fully vaccinated, and 72% are at least partially vaccinated.
