Missile Successfully Test Launched From Central Coast

A Minuteman III missile was successfully lauched from Vandenberg Space Force Base Wednesday morning.

The launch was a visual show for people who happened to be out late at night.

A intercontinental ballistic missile has been successfully test launched from the Central Coast.

The Minuteman III missile took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 12:53 a.m. Wednesday. It was visible to people who happened to be outside at the time on parts of the Central and South Coasts.

The launch was the latest in a series of test launches from the base intended to test equipment, as well as the readiness of flight crews.
