Man Arrested After Two People Stabbed In South Coast Restaurants

Detectives trying to determine motive

Detectives say they are trying to figure out why a man apparently randomly stabbed two people in two South Coast restaurants.

The attacks happened Saturday night, in a shopping center off of South Victoria Avenue in Ventura. Ventura Police detective say a man stabbed someone in one restaurant, and then went to a second nearby where he stabbed a second person.

Investigators say the man then went into a nearby supermarket. Police say they arrested Daniel Rodriguez in the store for the attacks. Both stabbing victims are recovering from what were reported to non-life-threatening injuries.
