Investigation Continues Into Fatal Accident Which Caused Massive Traffic Jam On Highway 101 In Ventura County

Southbound lanes shut down for four hours

Investigators are trying to figure out what led to a fatal traffic accident on Highway 101 on the South Coast which closed part of the highway for four hours.

A southbound car and a southbound motorcycle collided on the 101 in Ventura County, near Camarillo Springs just after 4 p.m. Sunday. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. He’s been identified as Colby James Stoker of Granada Hills.

The 17-year-old girl from Camarillo driving the car was uninjured. The collision created a massive traffic jam, shutting down the southbound lanes until around 8 p.m.
