Central Coast Man Could Face 300 Years Plus State Prison Sentence For Sex Crimes Convictions

Found guilty of 52 felony and misdemeanor counts

A Central Coast man could spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of more than 50 sexual abuse charges.

San Luis Obispo County prosecutors say Jason Robert Porter committed multiple sex crimes with four children. They say he also videotaped three dozen victims without their knowledge.

The 49-year-old Paso Robles man was convicted after a six-day trial heard by a judge. He waived his right to a jury trial.

The crimes spanned a more than eight year long period. The maximum sentence for the combined 52 felony and misdemeanor convictions amounts 300 years to life in state prison. Sentencing is set for June 28th.
