Ventura County Man Headed To Prison For Fatally Stabbing His Brother

Entered guilty plea to voluntary manslaughter charge

A Ventura County family has been rocked by a tragedy which left one man dead, and his brother headed to prison for his killing.

Luis and Gilbert Aceves lived together in the family’s home in Camarillo. Prosecutors say in April of 2017, the two got into an argument which turned into a physical fight. They say Luis fatally stabbed his brother Gilbert with a knife.

The 65 year old man pled guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge for the killing. He’s been sentenced to 12 years in prison for the death of his brother.
