Tri-Counties Remains In State's Orange Reopening Tier

Metrics still not there for move to more liberal yellow tier

The state’s latest COVID-19 tier update is allowing Orange County to move to the yellow reopening tier, but the Central and South Coasts remain in the more restrictive Orange tier.

46 new cases of the virus were reported in the Tri-Counties Tuesday. It’s one of the lowest one-day counts in months. Ventura County had 15, Santa Barbara County 7, and San Luis Obispo County 24.

The total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic stands at 137,753. There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported locally.
