Ventura County Woman Headed To Prison After Being Convicted Of Embezzling Hundreds Of Thousands Of Dollars

A Ventura County woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison after being convicted of embezzling nearly $350,000 from the business where she worked.

Prosecutors say Tara Nykoluk of Simi Valley stole the money over an eight year period while working at a San Fernando Valley plumbing company.

She worked there as a part-time bookkeeper. They say the 45 year old woman used a company debit card and company checks to pay for things like meal and vacations.

In addition to a three year, eight month state prison sentence, Nykoluck has been ordered to pay back $348,000.
