A San Luis Obispo Police officer was fatally wounded, and a second seriously injured while serving a warrant Monday.
San Luis Obispo officials say it happened at an apartment complex on Camellia Court.
Details of what happened, including the names of the officers, haven't been released yet. Officials say a suspect in the shooting was fatally wounded.
San Luis Obispo City Manager Derek Johnson called it a tragedy beyond measure for all who serve, and care about the community. "Our deepest condolences go out to the family," said Johnson. "We are devastated by the loss," he added.
