State Honors Two South Coast Schools For Excellence

The high schools will carry "California Distinguished School" title for two years

Two public schools on the Central and South Coasts are being honored by the state for excellence.

Oak Park High School, in the Oak Park Unified School District, and Rancho Campana High School, in the Oxnard Union High School District have made this year’s list of California’s Distinguished Schools.

The honorees are chosen based on performance as well as progress in improvement based on the state’s metrics for gauging school performance.

High schools are recognized by the state every other year, so the two Ventura County schools being honored will hold the title for two years.
