The Sheriff's Office is holding a news conference Tuesday afternoon with the latest on the investigation into what happened to Cal Poly Student Kristin Smart, who was last seen walking home from a party.

Detectives have been looking at a fellow student at the time who told them he walked her back towards her dorm as what they called a "person of interest" in the case. Paul Flores told investigators he walked her towards the dorm, but then left to go home.

Over the years, Flores has been served with numerous search warrants at his Los Angeles area home. His family's home in the Arroyo Grande area has also been searched.
