A 400 acre brush fire has forced some evacuations in eastern Ventura County.

No homes have been reported damaged by the Easy Fire, which is between Simi Valley and Moorpark.

It started just after 6 a.m. Wednesday near Easy Street, and has pushed south along Highway 23, in the hills by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

They were two of the world’s most powerful leaders, but they were also friends. A new museum exhibition in Ventura County is highlighting the unique relationship between Ronald Reagan, and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

He’s a legendary ruler who once controlled one of the largest empires of the world. Most people think of Genghis Khan as a brutal barbarian. But, he was also an innovator, introducing things like paper money, skis and the pony express, and creating a Mongolian form of democracy. A huge new exhibition looking at Kahn’s little known legacy is opening in Ventura County.

There’s a special exhibit this weekend on the South Coast that honors service men and women who lost their lives during the War On Terror.

It’s the National Remembering Our Fallen Exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley.

Gold Star mother Noala Fritz, who lost her son Jacob in 2007, is traveling with this national memorial.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Ventura County is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Hundreds of people were on hand for a special commemorative event Friday.

There was music, and speeches by dignitaries like former U.S. Attorney General Ed Meese, and former Secretary of State George Shultz.

Former California Governor Pete Wilson was the master of ceremonies for the library’s November 4th, 1991 dedication, and says it’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since five former presidents gathered to celebrate the facility’s opening.
