Community Conscience 29th Annual Mardi Gras Ball fundraiser is back! July 23, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Westlake Village
The Mardi Gras Ball is the largest fundraiser for Community Conscience.
Festivities begin at 5:00 PM with a champagne reception, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment by the Riverboat Dixie Jazz Band, and the silent auction. A wonderful dinner will follow, along with a live auction, King & Queen recognition, and a lively evening of dancing to Fifth Avenue Entertainment.
The Ball is expected to be attended by more than 300 community leaders, guests, and media. Together we will celebrate your commitment to the health and wellness of this community.
Your support ensures RENT-FREE office space for 13 Human Service non-profits who provide assistance to those in need. With the proceeds from the Ball and other donations, Community Conscience provides office space rent-free in the Human Services Center to thirteen local non-profits, enabling them to more effectively serve our community. The Human Services Center collectively saves tenants nearly $300,000 annually in operating expenses. These agencies provide services at no cost to families, children, youth, homeless individuals and veterans.
Come celebrate with us so that we can continue to offer rent-free office space to 13 Human Service non-profits who provide assistance to those in need.

If you loved Biggest Little Farm, you will love Rachel’s Farm
Join Santa Barbara Permaculture Network for a special evening with Rachel Ward of Australian film fame, as she shares her experience of coming to terms with the catastrophic fires & floods that beset Australia in recent years. The personal story-telling style of her film features intimate interviews with Rachel, her family, her inquisitive young farm manager who prompts them on a regenerative farm learning path, and all the people she has been inspired by on her transition from the world of entertainment to the world of farming. With honesty, and even humor, the film gives a unique insight into her voyage from willful ignorance about the ecological impacts of conventional agriculture, to embracing a regenerative farming movement to restore the health of Australia’s farmland, food and climate. Conversation & Q&A with Rachel follows.
