  • The Prime TIme Band of Santa Barbara celebrates its 30th anniversary year beginning with a free concert at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara. The performance on Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 PM features a variety of music for symphonic band. The program includes favorites by John Philip Sousa and Gustav Holst, music from movies such as Top Gun and Mary Poppins, and upbeat jazz standards by Dave Brubeck.

Formed in 1995 the Prime Time Band provides free concerts for the greater Santa Barbara community. Its membership consists of amateur musicians, ranging in age from 40 to 95. Together they deliver moving and inspiring performances under the direction of Dr. Paul Mori.

The 2025 calendar includes a July Fourth celebration at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse, an outdoor summer concert at the Stow House in Goleta, and an annual holiday concert and singalong in December on the steps of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
