  • “ENCHANTED: An Evening of Magic With Andrew Goldenhersh,” will feature a full magic show starring world renowned magician, Andrew Goldenhersh. A perennial honoree at the legendary Magic Castle, Andrew has received accolades from the prestigious Academy of Magical Arts. Having been voted the Academy's "Parlour Magician of the Year" in 2009 & 2010, Andrew is the only magician to have been nominated for both Close-up Magician of the Year and Parlour Magician of the Year for twelve years in a row.


    Andrew is held in high esteem by his peers in entertainment, including Las Vegas superstar Lance Burton (who calls him a "genius") and the world-renowned David Copperfield (who licensed and performs one of Andrew's signature routines).     Following the successful show “ENCHANTED: The Mystery of Mind Reading” featuring mentalist Nader Hanna on July 17 at Bombay, 6 Productions will continue the series bringing world-class magic to Ventura County with this upcoming show on Thursday, September 18. The Enchanted Series of shows have been produced by 6 Productions for the past 4 years in Santa Clarita, where the series saw nine straight sold out shows! The legacy of the series continues in Santa Clarita, and has expanded to Ventura County. Join us for this whimsical series of magic, mentalism and more!

  • An unpredictable and exciting college football season is coming to a close. This weekend's first-round slate is set up for two tight games and two blowouts — but in the playoffs, anything goes.
  • Once each year the Valley Watercolor Society presents its exhibition of juried paintings submitted by its members. The exhibit will be held at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery which is adjacent to the Newbury Park library. The exhibit opens on February 2 (Friday). On Sunday, February 4, there will be a reception open to the public from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Award winners will be announced and refreshments will be served.
  • Join the Santa Barbara Chamber Players on Saturday, April 6th at 7:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church at 305 E. Anapamu Street.   • The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will be hosting the Simi Valley Art Association's Spring Exhibit, Bridges: Art and Community, from April 6th - June 2nd. The Artist Reception will be held Thursday, April 18th from 5 - 7 pm.
  • Learn to crochet with Madison Connaughton on Friday, November 22, at 6:00 pm. We’ll cover the basics in this fun, beginner-friendly workshop, including how to chain, make a “magic circle,” and create essential stitches—all leading up to crafting a classic granny square.

    Each attendee will leave with a crochet hook and a ball of yarn to keep practicing at home.

  • The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM) presents “Global History and the California Missions: A Sea Story” with author, artist, educator, and native Californian Janet Dowling Sands on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 7:00. This beautifully illustrated presentation will explain how the missions were inextricably linked to global maritime history and prehistory, including the latest research on the origins of California’s indigenous people, whose ancestors came to the Americas thousands of years before the first European soldiers and missionaries arrived.

    Janet Sands, author of On a Mission: The Real Story of the California Missions, has developed a unique perspective on history—shaped by extensive research and by many years of engagement with educators, scientists and historians. She is a California native with a degree in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a lifelong student of history, art, and the natural world, and a collector of American regional art. She is currently working to complete her next book, Collision of Cultures: A Traveler’s History of the American Southwest.

    Born and raised East of the Los Angeles River, Las Cafeteras are a sonic explosion of Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful rhymes that document stories of a community seeking to “build a world where many worlds fit.” This dynamic group transcends genres from Afro-Mexican to Americana, from Soul to Son Jarocho, from Roots to Rock and Hip-Hop. The use of traditional instrumentation like the eight string jarana, four string requinto, quijada (donkey jawbone), and tarima (wooden platform) produce their unique and electrifying sound.


    Las Cafeteras has performed with Mexican icons Café Tacuba, Natalia LaFourcade, Lila Downs, Gypsy Kings, Colombian superstar Juanes, hip-hop artist Common, Los Angeles legends Ozomatli and Los Lobos, with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more.
