Santa Barbara Master Chorale Call for Auditions
Come sing with us!
Singers with choral experience are invited to join us as we prepare for Santa Barbara Master Chorale’s performance of “The Light So Shines”—a holiday celebration of hope, joy, and our gift of light to the world. Performances will be on December 6 & 7, 2025. Rehearsals begin on September 2, 2025, and auditions will be held on September 2, 9, and 16 between 5:00 and 6:40 p.m. in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church (corner of Constance Ave. and State St. in Santa Barbara).
Email dr.davidlozanotorres@gmail.com to arrange for an audition. If you are accepted, plan on singing with the chorus at the rehearsal after your audition. For more information, go to http://www.sbmasterchorale.org.

In honor of National Recovery Month, Good Samaritan Shelter will be hosting events to bring people together and celebrate individuals and families in recovery while showcasing the incredible resources and support systems available throughout the surrounding communities.

Westerlay Orchids annual Christmas Open House is near! Happening December 4th from 3pm-6pm at their Retail Showroom. With a special guest, the one and only Saint Nick aka, Santa, will be there with lots of cheer!

Now in its 55th year of Theatre for Youth, the Santa Monica Playhouse Diversity-in-Education Conservatory is delighted to offer two one-week Winter Break Theatre Camps for kids 6 to 14. Activities include theatre games, voice, movement, acting, imagination building, writing, costume creation, self-confidence, making friends and a LIVE PERFORMANCE on the last day. Enrollment is limited. “Thank you for teaching me and helping me grow as an actor and person throughout the years. Bailando Con Corazon: A Showcase of Folklorico Dance from Mexico
Xochipilli de Santa Barbara (as seen performing with Grammy-Award winning artist, Lila Downs) presents a folkloric tour through Mexico. Enjoy the twirling dresses, sparking machetes, enchanting music and amazing dancing of 'Bailando Con Amor' - Dancing With Love. Celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, and join the much loved community dance group Xochipilli de Santa Barbara in their popular annual showcase. Doors open at 6pm, show begins at 6:30pm at the historic Marjorie Luke Theater
