Monday is the day America will celebrate the legacy of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. Because of the pandemic, commemorative events on the Central and South Coasts are moving online.
The MLK Committee of Ventura County is holding a virtual event at 10 a.m. Monday, which will feature speakers, music, and a virtual march.
The MLK Committee of Santa Barbara is also presenting online ceremonies starting at 11 a.m. Monday, which will include speeches, essays, and poetry.
