Ventura County Man Enters Guilty Plea To Voluntary Manslaughter Charger For Fatal Stabbing

GAVEL_4.JPEG

A man has pled guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge after an argument led to a fatal stabbing in Ventura County.

Prosecutors say Andrew Rodriguez and Alexander Benevidez got into a heated argument which turned into a physical confrontation last March in Oxnard.  They say Rodriguez pulled out a knife, and fatally stabbed Benevidez.

As a result of the plea deal, the 38 year old man is expected to receive a seven year state prison sentence when he appears before a judge in March.
