Crews have cleaned up a small oil spill at an onshore oil drilling site on the Central Coast.

Santa Barbara County firefighters say it happened early Tuesday morning at the HVI Cat Canyon facility, off of Zaca Station Road northwest of Los Olivos.

Firefighters say about 25 barrels of oil spilled on the ground after a valve was left open.

The spill was kept onsite with the help of containment barriers.  No oil reached waterways in the area.  It was cleaned up by midday Tuesday.
