Police Call For Motorcyclist To Face Traffic Charge For Incident At Central Coast Rally

A motorcyclist could face a reckless driving charge in connection with an incident at a Black Lives march on the Central Coast.

It happened September 2nd, in a downtown San Luis Obispo crosswalk.  A motorcycle hit a pedestrian.  The victim wasn’t seriously injured.

The motorcyclist went to police, saying some in the crosswalk tried to knock him down.  But, police say video of the incident doesn’t support the claim. They are recommending the District Attorney seek a misdemeanor reckless driving charge against him.

Police also cited two protestors, saying they created a dangerous situation by blocking vehicle traffic lanes.
