Hottest Temperatures Of Year Possible For Central, South Coast Over Holiday Weekend

We’re in the first day of what’s predicted to be a four day heat wave hitting the Central and South Coasts, with potentially dangerous conditions tomorrow and Sunday.

Inland and valley temperatures could be 15 to 25 degrees above normal, with highs between 100 and 112 degrees possible.

There’s an excessive heat warning for the region.  At this point, the hottest day of the heat wave is expected to be Sunday.  There’s also an elevated risk of brush fire danger.

Ventura County beaches are open for the holiday weekend, but people are being urged to follow social distancing and mask requirements to protect against the spread of coronavirus.

Santa Barbara County beaches are open for walking, running, swimming and surfing, but are closed for sitting and sunbathing.
