Firefighters Make Quick Work Of Stopping Brush Fire On Central Coast

Santa Barbara County firefighters get the upper hand on a small brush fire outside of Buellton Thursday afternoon

Santa Barbara County firefighters quickly got the upper hand on a brush fire on the Central Coast Thursday afternoon.

The fire was discovered just after 12:45 p.m. northeast of Buellton, on the 2700 block of Ballard Canyon Road.  There was initially some concern about some structures in the area, but none were damaged.

Firefighters aided by aircraft stopped the spread of the flames in less than an hour.  It burned about three acres of brush.
