Ventura County Brush Fire Fully Contained; 2100+ Acres Burned

The Holser brush fire burning August 17th. The blaze is now fully contained.

Firefighters now have 100% containment of a brush fire which has been burning in Ventura County for the last week.

The Holser Fire started August 17th, in Holser Canyon near Lake Piru.

The fire initially threated some homes, but burned northeast away from Piru into a remove area of Ventura County.  No structures were damaged.

Some detailed mapping shows the fire was smaller than originally thought.  It was believed to be around 3,000 acres, but the updated final number is just over 2100 acres.  A vehicle fire triggered the blaze.
