Health Care Providers On Central, South Coast Say Coronavirus Tests Reserved For Those With Symptoms

Healthcare providers on the Central and South Coasts are trying to get out the word on an aspect of the coronavirus concern which has left them swamped with phone calls. The issue is tests. Some people have been contacting healthcare providers seeking tests to make sure they aren’t infected. Health Care officials say if you aren’t showing possible symptoms, you will not be tested.

Health care providers do have test kits, but they are being saved for people who show signs of having the virus. If you are showing serious flulike symptoms, that’s the time to contact your primary healthcare provider and they can decide whether a test is warranted.
