Ventura County based California Lutheran University is adding an ethnic and race studies major.
The interdisciplinary program will be offered beginning in the fall 2020 semester. Cal Lutheran officials say the idea is to help students become more culturally competent.
The new program is structured so that it can be added as a second major. The intent is that it will be set up to help prepare students for careers ranging communications to public health.
Cal Lutheran is the parent of KCLU Radio.
