Search Warrants Served At 17 Locations; Seven Arrested In Gang Sweep On South Coast

Seven people were arrested following a huge gang sweep involving 150 law enforcement officers and prosecutors on the South Coast.  The Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit aided by everyone from the FBI to probation officers served search warrants at 17 different locations in Oxnard and Port Hueneme.

The predawn raids Wednesday targeted gang members believed to be responsible for a rash of violent crimes including shootings, stabbings, and robberies in the region.

Five adults and two teenagers were arrested on charges ranging from probation violations to possession of drug paraphernalia.
