Brooke Ladoceur went camping at the Chula Vista Campground, on Mt. Pinos Sunday. Mt. Pinos is in the Los Padres National Forest just wesy of Frazier Park.

She wanted to camp in the snow, but when heavy snowfall started, she retreated to her car and called for help. Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies tried to reach the scene, but the snow was too high for their SUV’s.

The Fillmore Search and Rescue Team, and the Kern County Search and Rescue teams were activated. They were able to use Snowcat vehicles to reach the scene, and rescue the 24 year old Orange County woman. She was unhurt.
