Burglars Targeting Eyeglass Shops On South Coast

Law enforcement agencies on the South Coast are urging you to keep your eyes open for burglars who are targeting eyeglass shops.

Simi Valley Police say there have been a number of break-ins in the region with thieves specifically going after designer eyeglass frames.

Police are urging store owners to put window tinting or glaze on display windows. They say even if someone breaks the window, the film keeps much of the glass in place, making the business difficult to enter.

And, detectives say designer glasses should be locked up at night, and there should be a burglar alarm and surveillance cameras.
