Rash Of Vehicle Thefts Reported In South Coast Community, But Crackdown Leads To Some Arrests

There’s been a rash of stolen vehicles in one South Coast community, but police have responded with a crackdown.

Oxnard Police say nearly two dozen vehicles were stolen in the last two weeks. Investigators say in many cases, people left doors unlocked, or even left keys in the vehicle.

So, Oxnard Police have focused on the issue, and have arrested nearly a dozen people for being in possession of stolen vehicles during the same time period. They are also warning people about the rash of thefts, and urging them to use common sense and not do things like leaving an unattended car running.
