Thunderstorms Could Hit South And Central Coasts

You may experience some wet weather on Sunday or Monday on the South and Central Coasts.

There’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms for coastal and valley areas and a 60% chance for the mountains.

National Weather Service Senior Forecaster Andrew Rorke says the thunderstorms could bring strong downpours.

"They could be actually quite powerful.  They might actually produce downburst winds, like Santa Barbara city had the other day with the trees uprooted.  And we could see some hail out of these systems as well," he said

There’s a flash flood watch for the recent burn areas and for the mountains.

The chance of thunderstorms will last through tomorrow morning.
