Firefighters still haven’t quite reached the finish line in efforts to fully contain Santa Barbara County’s nearly two week old Rey wildfire.

The blaze in the Los Padres National Forest north of Santa Barbara is now 87% contained, with the amount of land burned still around 32,000 acres. The fire activity is being described as minimal, but firefighters are still trying to build the remaining fire lines needed to fully contain the blaze.

No structures have been reported damaged by the blaze, which began August 18th near the White Rock Day Use Picnic Area. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
