A three month investigation into what authorities are calling a major methamphetamine operation on the Central Coast has led to nine arrests, and the breakup of a ring which may be linked to Mexican drug cartels.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives working with more than a half dozen other law enforcement agencies served search warrants at nine locations, including both San Luis and San Bernardino counties.

Two pounds of methamphetamine, some guns and cash were seized. In addition to the nine people who were taken into custody, arrest warrants have been issued for an additional four people.
