Gang Member Gets 18 Year Sentence For Ventura Shootings Which Wounded Nine Year Old Girl, Man

A Ventura County gang member has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison for a pair of shootings which wounded a nine year old girl, and a man.

Mauricio Chavez of Fillmore entered guilty pleas to nine charges stemming from the attacks last June on Ramona Street, in Ventura.

The nine year old girl, as well as adult male victim escaped with minor injuries.
