New COVID-19 Case Count For Central, South Coasts Remains On Low Side

Less than 100 additional cases reported Tuesday

The latest COVID-19 case count numbers for the Central and South Coasts continue to remain low, but the region is still in the state’s Orange reopening tier. 94 were reported in the Tri-Counties Tuesday.

Ventura County reported 55 additional cases, Santa Barbara County 13, and San Luis Obispo County 26. There have been 136,220 cases in the region since the start of the pandemic.

Los Angeles County qualified to move to the more liberal yellow tier this week. In the yellow tier, capacity can be increased in indoor businesses like restaurants. And, outdoor sporting events can increase capacity. Dodger Stadium can now go from 33% to 67% capacity.

No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the region Tuesday.
