Five new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported on the Central and South Coasts.
Ventura County had four more, and Santa Barbara County one. It brings the region’s total to 1714 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The number of new COVID-19 cases in the region continues to be on the lower end of the scale, with 88 reported Friday. Ventura County had 32, Santa Barbara County 22, and San Luis Obispo County 33.
